Tiger and Tusker Trip: (TRAVEL DAY – EVERY THURSDAY)
This is a visit to the Tyavarekoppa rehabilitation centre near Shimoga in Karnataka. Along with seeing many tigers, visit a rogue elephant rehabilitation centre at Sakrebyle Elephant Camp is great fun. Tiger and Tusker tour is followed by spectacular nightly celebrations in the Krishna Temple in Udupi.
The glorious history of the temple reveals that demon Ravana threw a piece of the Pranalinga of Gokarna’s Mahabelshwara at this spot. This pilgrim’s and tourist’s paradise alike is rich in Dravidian style sculpture, with the temple having intricate carvings and statues. In addition to the coconut and areca groves, the roaring sea in the west and east side towering hills this scenic spot also has the world’s tallest Neekakanta idol at 123 ft tall.
Agumbe is a hill station surrounded by rich biodiversity and one of the last surviving lowland rain forests. Agumbe and the adjacent region come alive with many waterfalls, of which Kunchikal Falls, Barkana Falls, Onake Abbi Falls and Jogigundi Falls are frequently visited by travellers. Sunset Point at Agumbe, a high gallery, offers a panoramic view of the scenic surrounding countryside and an Eagle’s view of the mesmerizing landscape. Built-in 1839 by the British, this viewpoint is just 122 yards from the popular Shimoga beach.
Tiger and tusker tour will let you have a lifetime experience to catch the wild in action.you’ll get to see the elephants and tigers engrossed in their daily chores and enjoying their lifestyle. During this tour, we will take you to different sanctuaries Elephant Training Centers where you can get an insight of the life of these wild animals, the way they intelligently do the tasks and certain other interesting activities too. You can even enjoy safaris during the tour. It is really fun to watch wild species doing interesting activities.

DAY 1: We will pick you up before noon and then transfer to Margao railway station to board the train. The journey in the train will take around four and a half hours which means you reach the destination in the evening. Transfer to your receptive hotel relax & enjoy the evening the leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2: The next morning we’ll travel by road and head towards the ELEPHANT CAMP & SANCTUARY. In the sanctuary, you’ll get to see the jumbos bathing, going on walks, enjoying among their folks, how they live amidst that environment and how they are being fed etc. You can even wash and feed the elephants yourself. You can also enjoy an elephant ride which is available and needs extra charges as per the rides. After witnessing the elephants and their way of living we’ll head towards the TIGER/LION SANCTUARY. Here you’ll come across several tigers and lions indulging in their daily tasks. Tigers here are in a large enclosure. Here you’ll get an opportunity to get closer to the tigers and observe their movements. After visiting these two wild species enjoy an authentic south Indian vegetarian lunch (Of Your Own Cost) and return to your hotel. After arriving at the destination and giving you proper rest we’ll take you to the authentic Hindu temple to seek blessing overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 3: The next morning, after enjoying a lip-smacking breakfast, catch the train back to Margao. You’ll arrive back to Calangute at around 5 pm.
