Hampi is an ancient village dotted with numerous ruined temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire. On the south bank of the River Tungabhadra is the 7th-century Hindu Virupaksha Temple, near the revived Hampi Bazaar. A carved stone chariot stands in front of the huge Vittala Temple site. Itinerary

DAY 1:   We depart by train from MARGAO Railway station at 07:45 hrs, one of the India's most spectacular train journey which passes through the Western Ghats. We pass untouched rural villages, innumerable rock-cut tunnels which are wet by spring water. The surrounding forest which imitates the Amazon jungle. The undisputable secluded feeling of being away from all the normal commotion you face on the roads. The train even passes over the Goa’s famed waterfall “DUDHSAGAR” affectionately called & worshipped by locals as the “Milk River. We arrive at 1500 hrs approx. check in to the hotel and rest of the day on leisure.

 

DAY 2:  Breakfast between 06:30 hrs to 07:30 hrs and then proceed for full day sightseeing tour of HAMPI with a break for lunch in the afternoon. The tour starts taking you through the erstwhile capital of the VIJAYANAGAR’S kingdom, is full of delightful surprises….. The VIJAYA VITTALA Temple with its musical pillars and KADALE KALU GANESHA, SASUVE KALU GANESHA, Shri Krishna Temple, BADAVI Lingam, Underground Temple, LOTUS MAHAL, Elephant Stable, Queen Palace Area, King Place Area, Queen’s Bath Etc. Evening drive to MALYAVANTA Hill for the Panoramic view and sunset. After sunset drive back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 3:   After breakfast check out of the hotel at sharp 0600 hrs and drive to the train station to catch the train back to Goa which departs 0630 hrs. Arrive at MARGAO railway at 1500 hrs approx. Transfer to your hotels within 1or 2 hours.
